Spain Alumni Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma is awarded worldwide

The activity developed by Spain Alumni Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) was awarded by Beta Gamma Sigma Global Headquarters located in the United States of America, being selected from the thirty associations of Alumni worldwide, such as: “Outstanding Alumni Chapter Program or Activity in 2015-2016”.

The award was given by Amber Nicholson, Director Chapter Relations Beta Gamma Sigma Global Headquarters, to Isabel Córdova Samaniego, President of the BGS Alumni Association in Spain, on October 18th, during a visit to the “Residencia de Estudiantes” event held with the support of IE Global Alumni Relations.

Isabel Córdova Samaniego remarks that “this international recognition represents a commitment to the members of the Association and the community of Alumni of IE to persevere in the generation of networking meetings to provide opportunities to build bridges between highly qualified professionals from different sectors with corporations and startups. It also allows scaling the positioning of “Beta Gamma Sigma”, in Spain, as a benchmark of excellence in business.”

Spain Alumni Chapter of B.G.S. receives this award after the nomination of the roundtable: “The impact of the Beta Gamma Sigma members in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain”, in collaboration with IE Global Alumni Relations and Pernod Ricard Spain on 12 April. The event included members of BGS with extensive business career as Ignacio Macías (founder of Top Seeds Lab), Iñigo Amoribieta (CEO of La Nevera Roja), Carlos Picazo (founder of Unlimiteck Company Builder and IE alumni), Mikel Diaz (founder of Mybrana) and Carlos Echalecu (co-founder of Touchvie and IE alumni) and as moderator, Isabel Córdova Samaniego, President of the Association in Spain and IE alumni.

The event inspired entrepreneurs and professionals on strategies to cultivate values in business -persistence, optimism, motivation and talent- on guidelines to be followed by CEOs as promoters of corporate culture and on the importance of diversity as key to facilitate creativity and complementation in work teams.
Beta Gamma Sigma is an organization founded in 1913 in the United States, which brings together the best students of business schools in the world. BGS serves business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and its lifetime membership is the highest honor one of his students can receive.
