May has been a hectic month which saw a flurry of events such as the Talent Forum, IE Africa Day, the launch of the EPIC Award 2018, Virtual Alumni information sessions and the launch of our new IE Business website!
After the successful deployment of the EPIC Awards in 2016, IE Global Alumni Relations launched the EPIC Awards 2018. The main objective of the initiative is to share the stories of some of our most outstanding alumni, and inspire our network to pursue continuous learning and excellence. Fifteen finalists, including the creator of Cabify, CEO of Asty and founder of Mizen Health were divided into 5 categories before students were invited to vote for the winner.
Students have already voted, and the third generation of EPIC finalists will be announced during the upcoming IE Global Alumni Weekend Madrid, that will take place in June.
ONLINE Q&A_ ASK ALUMNI
We held two virtual Q&A sessions for prospective students on May 16th & 17th. Jeff Stempka, alumni of the Master in MRCB and Lucia Ron, alumni of the MVDM, answered all questions about their programs. Both graduates shared their IE experience together with how it has helped shape their current careers. The sessions gave the opportunity for future students to connect and ask questions regarding the degree, application and #LifeatIE.
IE TALENT AND CAREERS FORUM
Later on in the month, IE Talent & Careers hosted the FMCG, Retail, Communications & Tourism Talent Forum where students had the opportunity to meet top recruiters from companies such as Hilton, Kellogg’s, MARS, Ogilvy, P&G, PepsiCo, among others. This event was the perfect opportunity to foster networking between recruiters and students interested in pursuing a career in the FMCG, Retail, Communications and Tourism sectors.
