IE Business School ranked number 3 in Europe by Financial Times

IE Business School is the No. 3 business school in Europe and No. 1 in Spain in the 2017 Financial Times ranking of European Business Schools.

This particular Financial Times ranking takes into account the positions achieved by IE Business School in the rankings of Masters in Management (No. 3 worldwide), MBAs (No. 8), Executive MBAs (No. 13), and Executive Education Open Programs (No. 22). The FT ranking of European business schools is drawn up using a range of criteria that include the level of internationalization of the school and the international reach of its programs, career and salary progression of graduates, the degree to which expectations are met, and levels of research.

Lee Newman about big data, the body and decision making

Lee Newman, Dean of the IE School of Human Sciences and Technology (HST), and Norman Kurtis, Vice-Dean of Behavior & Human Development at IE HST, sit down to discuss the incredible potential of data that can now be obtained from numerous sources and devices, including many wearables.

Big data offers valuable information for decision-making, but it can do even more when data provided by the human body is used to obtain vital information that can help to improve behavior and decision-making.

South Summit

From October 4th to October 6th, South Summit 2017 took place in Madrid. IE participated as a global partner, and IE Exponential Learning joined the event, providing a full debrief of their experience here. One of the highlights was having Homyhub, an Area 31 alumni company, as one of the finalists of the start-up competition.

South Summit is all about connecting entrepreneurs with the most important investors in the world to share the entrepreneurial spirit, which plays such a prominent role in all that IE stands for. Also, global corporations were present, such as Amazon and BBVA, seeking to improve their international competitiveness through innovation. The future is discussed, shaped, challenged and molded by over 300 speakers.

South Summit Pacific Alliance continued on this 1st of December in Bogota, Colombia. Chairman of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center at IE Business School, Juan José Güemes, lectured the audience about entrepreneurship and innovation as fundamental pillars in the business culture.
